Head Coach

Marco Campos

For over 25 years, Marco has been coaching boys and girls soccer throughout the Bay Area. Marco has founded and coached in various Men’s, Women’s and Youth Soccer programs. He’s also coached at Bishop O’Dowd High School, Kids Love Soccer East/SouthBay and Napa, Danville Mustang SC, Albany Berkeley SC, Mill Valley SC, Marin FC, and continues to coach with Dave Fromer Soccer. As a co-founder of MCS FC, Marco inspires youth to be the best version of themselves and promotes a healthy, confident and caring lifestyle through the beautiful game of soccer!

Head Coach

Fabricio Alfaro

A new and multitalented addition to our coaching staff, El Salvadorian born Fabricio Alfaro is a top professional soccer player who is still under contract with the national team of El Salvador. Playing soccer at a young age he quickly advanced through the national team youth academy ranks and began his professional playing career in 2007. He has an impressive youth development background holding a FIFA B license and his extensive knowledge, experience and passion make him an exciting addition to the team. Inspired by our mission to develop our youth to become the best version of themselves, Fabricio recognizes the value of becoming a good person before becoming a great player. He firmly believes that having the discipline to learn the fundamentals is the best way to become a great player. We are fortunate to have Fabricio volunteer to advance the values and goals of our club.

Playing Experience:

  • Professional Teams: Played for the following professional teams from 2007-2020: San Salvador FC, CD Chalatenango, Herediano, CD Atlético Marte, Santa Tecla FC, CD Luis Ángel Firpo, CD UES, CD Municipal Limeño , AD Isidrio Metápan. CD El Vencedor and CD Aguila.
  • National Team: Played on the U20, U21 and Men’s El Salvadorian National Teams

Head Coach | Technical Director

Alvaro Pastor

Coach Alvaro is a dedicated and licensed soccer coach with a lifelong passion for the sport, seeking to leverage his extensive playing experience and coaching knowledge to further develop and inspire the next generation of soccer players. He is committed to creating passionate and skilled players while fostering a diverse and inclusive soccer community where youth can feel supported, play free and strive to be their best. As a co-founder of MCS FC, coach Alfie is dedicated to providing accessible and affordable competitive soccer opportunities for underserved youth throughout Marin County.

Playing Experience:

  • Collegiate Level: Named offensive MVP for State Championship team at Foothill College.
  • International Experience: Played in the Netherlands, in the third division for HV Quick. Competed in leagues and tournaments overseas in Germany, Sweden, Saint Maarten.
  • Semi-Pro Leagues: Competed in semi-pro leagues in the SF Bay Area and greater Northern California.

Certifications and Education:

  • Coached U8-U13 youth soccer since 2014 including a Team Academy Program and Bay Area youth soccer camps.
  • Coached at International competitions including the Mundialito Tournament in Barcelona.
  • Assistant Coach at Foothill College in Los Altos.
  • Holds multiple USSF grassroots youth licenses including 4v4, 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11 both in-person and online licensing modules. Holds a USSF D coaching license.

Leandro Castro

I’m Leandro Castro (Coach Leo) – My native country is Brazil, I’m an ex Pro Soccer player. I have been coaching kids for more than 25 years. Graduated in Physical Education from UCB University, Brazil, US Soccer licensed, certified with specialization in High Performance Training and Injury Prevention. My goal is teaching players the fundamentals with advanced technical and tactical soccer skills, helping them grow as individuals, understanding the game of soccer while inspiring and supporting their own individual growth, development of character, with deep respect for family, friends, teammates, as well as, fellow competitors.

Coach | Goalie Coach

Nestor alfaro

Néstor Alfaro, a native of El Salvador, is a motivating and positive soccer coach who connects with children of all ages. As an inspiring, motivated, and player-centered coach he is focused on the holistic development of his players. He played professionally for several years with notable clubs such as Alianza F.C. (U-17 and U-20 divisions), C.D. UES U-20, and A.D. Isidro Metapán. He also represented El Salvador’s national team at the U-15, U-16, and U-17 levels. After his playing career, Néstor dedicated himself to coaching at youth academies, gaining extensive experience in developing young players to compete at high levels. Known for his supportive leadership style and serving as a role model, he currently trains young goalkeepers. His coaching approach combines holistic and analytical methods, fostering both technical skills and personal growth. Néstor is committed to helping children reach their goals on and off the field.
